About Us
Omicron is a Brazilian manufacturer and importer of carpets, rugs and bath mats.
We started our business more then 30 years ago, producing machines, parts and mechanical accessories for the Textile Industry.
In the early 80's, we launched our first model of tufting machine, becoming a leader in Latin America, with hundreds of machines produced.
We created some tufting machines that are unique in the world, capable of producing carpets with advanced features of designs and textures without the need of minimum quantities as the large machines and looms, and with an accuracy impossible for the craft processes.
For more then 20 years, the carpet brand Monaco Tapetes, exclusive of Omicron, has become a reference for retailers, consumers and designers all over Latin America, and even outside, as a brand of different products, that are only possible because of the technology that we learn from the manufacturing of machinery and equipment.
Allways renewing our products according to the creativity of our customers, we are now the largest industry in Brazil dedicated exclusively to the manufacture of area rugs. In 2010, we became a pioneer in the environmental responsibility by launching the first 100% recyclable carpet made in Brazil.
